Sachem East High School 9/11 Memorial Project

Back in August of 2013, while finishing up a landscaping construction job for a new customer, I was introduced to her son and daughter-in-law, who are both teachers at Sachem East High School, located here on Long Island. They were considering a 9/11 memorial for the school. They told me there were several families in the community that were directly affected during the terrorist attacks. They wanted to make a memorial and a place where those families could reflect along with the community. I, along with the school administrator, immediately went to work on designing and planning their new memorial.
